Deciding the right colors for your home’s exterior can be a challenge. Should you go bold or basic? As with all decorating, color choice is vital to the overall appearance of the home. When colors are done correctly – it can hide flaws, when done poorly – it can draw attention to those flaws. A safe approach is to select two tints, colors that are lighter than your base color, or two shades, colors that are darker than your base color. Either the lighter tints or the darker shade could be used for the body and the opposite for the trim. The third contrasting accent color can then be used to accent your entry door.
The McKnight’s of Plattsmouth selected Rugged Canyon Structure Siding as their base color. Detail was added to the architecture using Terra Bronze wraps and fascia, Rugged Canyon soffit, Rugged Canyon downspouts, and Terra Bronze gutters. The overall effect is dramatic and very appealing to the overall architectural design of this beautiful home.
