As a kid growing up on a small farm in Newman Grove, Nebraska, I always dreamed of playing for the Huskers. I was given that opportunity as a walk-on, with the promise that if I worked hard, I’d be given the chance to earn a Blackshirt. I remained dedicated to my goal, achieving my dream of being a starting defensive tackle for the Huskers my senior year.
